Earth Day and John Muir's Birthday ... both influenced my interest in our world; my politics and my ethics ...

This photo from some years ago on South Sister in September is the highest easy scramble in Oregon. Same elevation as Beartooth Highway in Montana and Wyoming; I hope I will drive that road in June with Sandi!

John Muir would have never tolerated my "complaints" about the weather and my whining about discomfort as he embraced with passion and enthusiasm what ever attitude nature tossed before him. Muir saw beauty and helped all who would listen to respect and appreciate the art in the natural world.

Hey the sun is out this morning! Mr. Muir would be ashamed that I have already burned daylight ... On to Culver!
